Learn2, an educational diagnostics company, has partnered with two telecommunications organizations to provide free access to its diagnostics and video-based adaptive learning platform for schools in small towns and previously disadvantaged informal settlements in South Africa.
The company's online learning platform, which focuses on Maths, is developed with unique AI diagnostics and adaptive learning capabilities that identify learners' weaknesses in Maths, and provide personalized remediation lessons and assessments.
Evotel, a fibre network operator, and Net Nine Nine, an internet service provider, will offer free access to the Learn2 platform until the end of 2023 to their customers, including schools they have built relationships with to help students prepare for year-end exams.
Learn2 covers the entire CAPS and IEB Maths curriculum for grades 1–12. Both companies hope that addressing education initiatives in regional towns and often overlooked informal settlements, which make up the majority of South Africa's population, will lead to the improvement of these areas, both economically and societally.
The Learn2 platform will be available to all schools and customers of Evotel and Net Nine Nine immediately, and schools and teachers will receive necessary training to integrate and use the platform.
